Day 01

routeRoute :  Airport > Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage > Habarana

Arrive at the Katunayake Bandaranaike Airport(BIA) and meet our representative. Start your journey heading to Habarana a small village tucked in the middle of lush jungles. Along the way pay a visit to the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawala.

Pinnawala

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, situated about 90KM away from Colombo. Be there at the right time to see specially elephant bathing time & their feeding time of baby elephants. It is a unique place to observe and approach elephants.

Habarana

In between the sacred Dambulla and World Marvel Sigiriya lies the place of accommodation and arrangement portal for elephant rides. Habarana has a railway station where you could get down from expecting to visit Minneriya and Kaudulla national Parks.

Day 02

routeRoute :  Habarana > Sigiriya

Get ready to discover the wondrous Lion rock fortress of Sigiriya, an ancient fortress built on a 660 ft tall column of rock offers you an incredible view at the summit. Later in the day, explore a rural village to see the Sri Lankan farming lifestyle, sharing insights with locals. Spend a relaxing evening enjoying the cool breeze and calming greeneries around.

Sigiriya

Sigiriya Perched at 370 m, at the top of a rock of red stone which dominates a harmonious set of gardens designed in the fifth century, the citadel of Sigiriya has been classified by UNESCO since 1982. Anfractuosity of the rock preserves the jewel of the Sri Lankan painting : The portraits of twenty-one young ladies, whose delicate colors have kept their luster for 1,500 years.

Eagle's nest of a parricide king, Kasyapa, the palace of the summit is served by a narrow staircase that sneaks between giant paws.

Day 03

routeRoute :   Sigiriya > Polonnaruwa > Minneriya

Head to Polonnaruwa. Later in the day get on a 4x 4 jeep to explore the wilderness of Minneriya national park, a home for a diversity of wildlife including elephants, deer, jackal, buffalo, wild boar and more.

Polonnaruwa

Polonnaruwa remains as the second most ancient royal city in Sri Lanka's kingdom. The Ancient City of Polonnaruwa has been declared a World Heritage Site.Today this ancient city remains one of the best planned archaeological relic cities in the country, standing testimony to the discipline and greatness of the Kingdom's first rulers. 13th Century, Polonnaruwa is considered one of the best preserved historic cities in the world.

Minneriya

Large herds of elephants gathered at places where tanks and lakes are is what Minneriya National Park is special about. From out of all national parks which has wild elephants Minneriya would be the ideal place to explore their wild habitat and also wading birds. Other than for the Sambar deer, buffalos and crocodiles – wish for the best to see the leopards hidden at Minneriya.

Day 04

Head to Kandy. Along the way stop by the golden temple in Dambulla to explore one of the most ancient rock cave temples in Sri Lanka and its beautiful surrounding.

Dambulla

Dambulla is a city in Central Province, Sri Lanka. This city is notable for it’s Golden Temple and reclining Buddha.

The city of Dambulla is built around a large granite boulder that encloses an important cave complex, Raja Maha Vihara, dating back to the first century. It is the largest and best preserved complex of Sri Lankan caves. The site consists of about eighty caves, five shrines, four main monasteries. It contains 157 statues, 153 images of the Buddha, 3 royal images and 4 images of deities. The mural paintings, covering 2,100 square meters, represent, among others, the temptation of Buddha by the demon Māra and his first sermon.

The Dambulla city would also give you an admirable experience of one of Sri Lanka’s biggest wholesale markets – where the leafy and greeny vegetables be distributed to all the countries.

Kandy

Kandy is the main town in the center of Sri Lanka, 116 km from Colombo and is watered by the Mahaweli River. The city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988.At the center of the Kandy city, there is a lake, which was originally a reservoir of water that was excavated by the English during colonization. The place is still very popular for walking.The famous Temple of the Tooth in Kandy, this vast monument, built in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, houses the most valuable relic of the Buddhist universe: a tooth of Gautama. People from all over the world have been praying for this tooth, a symbol of power, for centuries.

You will also be able to admire the golden dagoba that houses the relic, but you can attend a puja ceremony by mingling with the crowd of worshipers.

Day 05

routeRoute :  Peradeniya Botanical Garden > Nuwara Eliya

Enjoy a hearty breakfast and visit the Royal botanical garden in Peradeniya. Then continue your journey travelling to scenic Nuwara Eliya where it’s all about mist, hills, waterfalls and tea plantations. En routes visit the tea production process with a tea factory. Wrap up the day with an exciting city tour exploring the best attractions of Nuwara Eliya.

Peradeniya

Ever dreamt of walking through long flowery pathways and exploring endless sceneries with greener grass.Here you can see endemic plants & flowers in Sri Lanka. It is renowned for its impressive collection of orchids. In addition, there is a garden of spices, medicinal plants and many palm trees.

Nuwara   Eliya

At 180KM from Colombo and 77 KM from Kandy, this city with 1900m of attitude is ranked as the highest in Sri Lanka. Nuwaraeliya has a mild climate & freshness . You can see rolling hills , woods and tea plantations, a lake and streams, orchards or grow vegetables , golf courses, meadows and colonial houses.

Day 6-7

routeRoute :   Nuwara Eliya > Kalutara

Drive off to Bentota one of the famous beach towns in Sri Lanka, one cannot miss to include in their Sri Lanka tour. Spend your days leisurely at the beach enjoying the waves and winds. Make your days more exciting trying new water sports and go on a boat ride to enjoy the rich biodiversity of the mangroves along the Madu river.

Kalutara

Located 71 km away from the airport and just a 45Km from city of Colombo, can go on visiting famed Brief Garden, turtle hatchery (optional) etc.
